It’s time to rise up for justice and UNITE to GetEQUAL! GetEQUAL Florida is hosting its first official comprehensive, three-day training—September 21-23—in order to equip our LGBTQ and ally communities with the right tools necessary to achieve full federal and social equality.
We are fed up with the injustices taking place in OUR home: the constitutional ban on marriage equality, knowing we can be fired from our jobs at any moment for our identity, being bullied at school with no legal protections, having our dignity constantly questioned and challenged. We are READY to unite as one Florida community—queer, straight, undocumented, ally—to learn, work, and build strength together.During this year’s training, we aim to honor the memory of legendary organizer Bayard Rustin.
